Keep these to a minimum and you will be able to lose between 1 and 2 pounds a week for as long as you are in phase 2. You will continue with this phase of the diet until you reach your desired weight.
Once you enter into phase 3 you will no longer lose the weight but you will not be gaining any either. Phase 3 is to maintain your weight at a healthy level because by now, you have trained yourself to eat right and have discovered the benefits from doing so. The best part is that at anytime you find yourself overindulging and gaining weight, you can always repeat phase 1 before it gets out of hand.
